The Training Module.

Key Results: Standardizaton, Leverage

The Training Module was created to assist you in achieving the best results possible as it relates to incorporating workshops into your office. The key to optimizing the process is for each player on the team to understand their role in creating the most successful workshop possible.

A. Workshop In-Charge.

Taking the time to properly plan for your workshops will go a long way in adding to your success. Choosing your Workshop In-charge is a very important. If you have a PRCA, they would obviously make a great choice as the In-Charge (IC).

The workshop IC is responsible for ensuring all aspects of the workshop run smoothly and all goals are achieved. They are not necessarily responsible for doing everything (although that could be the case), but act more as an Event Coordinator. May I add at this point that your Workshop IC has the potential to assist you in achieving great success – - meaning assisting you in caring for tens, hundreds, yes even thousands more people in your community.

B. Pick A Consistent Day Each Month.

Picking a consistent day each month to present your workshops makes it much easier not only to promote, but also to invite anyone from your community that would benefit from attending your workshop. When you add consistency to your workshop schedule, it increases attendance.

Recommended Workshop Schedules – (it is recommended that all workshops go from 6:30-7:30pm – however if you have a time that is already working by all means continue with your schedule)

1. Schedule A
New Patient Orientation every Tuesday Alternating Educational Based Workshops every Thursday

1. Schedule B
Alternating New Patient Workshops with Educational Based Workshops every Tuesday

C. Setting The Date & Achieving Your Workshop Goals.
In setting the date for your first workshop, allow yourself 2-3 weeks minimum to promote for the workshop.Setting goals for workshop registration, workshop attendance, workshop guest conversions, workshop referrals generated, and workshop referrals that attend an upcoming workshop are as critical for success of your workshops as just about anything you can do. Remember this key principle – - that
which is measured grows.

“That which is measured – - Grows.”

And to take it one step further, that which is measured – -and monitored – - grows geometrically.

So, let’s measure and monitor. Here’s how: Keeping statistics! In working with literally hundreds of businesses, I must say that this one fundamental of business basics is lacking over 50% of the time. So, to prevent that from happening, please – - please, keep the following statistics.

D. Workshop Rewards & Bonuses.
Understanding your staff’s “love language” and providing rewards and bonuses (RB) for achieving your workshop goals work hand in hand. Knowing that which motivates each individual staff member will allow you to extend an RB that is targeted at their motivating factor(s).

If you haven’t had the opportunity to read The 5 Love Languages, by Gary Chapman I highly suggest you do so. It is a life changing book.

Here are the 5 Love Languages:

1. Words of Affirmation – Never, never underestimate the impact of an affirming and heart felt word.

2. Quality Time – Most in today’s culture lack margin in their lives. Providing a few hours, half day or entire day off for hitting your goals will be well worth it.

3. Receiving Gifts – Gifts can come in the form of Gift Certificates for dinner, movies, massage, manicure and pedicure (combine with #2 – and you will create some real motivation), and in the process significantly increase workshop statistics – and more led to changed lives in your community.

4. Acts of Service – You may never know the importance an ‘Employee of the Month’ award means to your staff members. It’s a great way to show your staff that their service is very much appreciated.

5. Physical Touch – Careful here unless it’s your spouse.

E. Accountability.
The Secret Ingredient for business success is accountability. The secret ingredient for fully achieving the office potential is to incorporate accountability into the “measure and monitor” process. A recurrent daily meeting with the Workshop IC to review the daily/weekly statistics will fully double your results.

Remember – these are recommendations only and you can absolutely modify them to fit your personal and office schedule best.
